Writing
 Thought
for the Writer's Day: How Can I Learn to Write
Well?
Get a website. It can improve your writing.
Let me explain. Some people come to this site every
day, while others visit once and never return. My job
is to make casual visitors want to come back.
So, I have to write in a concise and compelling way,
and I have to show people up front that they're going
to get something interesting when they hit one of my
pages. Each piece should resemble a pyramid, with the
key idea at the top of the page and all the supporting
details at the bottom. I have to be clear and original,
and I have to deliver as much as possible in the fewest
possible words.
And I have to do that every day.
It's a good exercise. If you do it every day, your
writing will automatically become more saleable.
 | How Much Do You Read? How many books have you read so far this year? It pays to keep a list, especially if you're a slow reader like me.
