The Search by John Battelle Writing

Thought for the Writer's Day:  How Many Words do you Write each Year?

Your mileage will vary, but I typically manage to write at least 500 words each Saturday and Sunday, and perhaps 1,500 on weekdays. Assuming that I'm productive for 47 weeks each year, I calculate that I write 400,000 words each year.

That doesn't take much effort but it amounts to about three novels per year. Food for thought.
