Writing
Thought for the Writer's Day: Time Management
for Writers
Is the first month of 2007 really gone? How did it
go by so fast? It's difficult to fit writing into a
busy schedule. Here something to think about:
Add up how many days you have off. I get 13 days vacation
each year plus nine public holidays and five sick days.
On top of that, I have every weekend off, which adds
up to more than 100 free days each year. That means,
more than a third of my year consists of days when I
don't have to go to work. My writing time comes out
of those 131 days each year that I have free. On top
of that, I have time in the evenings, too. I can't devote
all of this time to writing, but it's important to devote
a fair portion of it.
