Writing

Thought
for the Writer's Day: How Can I Make Money
as a Writer?
If you have a website, make sure you sign up for an
Amazon
Associates account and a Google
AdSense account.
The Amazon account will allow you to sell books from
your site. You get a few percent of the sale and Amazon
does all the work. It's an excellent scheme.
Google AdSense places the ads that you see on each
page of this site. I hope they aren't intrusive; certainly,
most people tell me they find them all too easy to ignore.
But each click generates income for me, and you should
grab your share.
All this comes to mind because I had a problem recently
with a lost payment from Google this week. I mailed
Google's customer service department, and they got back
to me right away and fixed the problem fast, much, much,
much faster, say, than Time Warner fixes problems with
my cable account.
Well done, Google. Thank you.
 | How Much Do You Read? How many books have you read so far this year? It pays to keep a list, especially if you're a slow reader like me.
