Writing

Thought for the Writer's Day: I was
Quoted in The Times!
I just discovered today that something I wrote last
year was quoted in The Times newspaper in London.
How did that happen? How can you get quoted too?
I write for a variety of websites at the moment. If
you manage to land a job as a staff writer on a website
you can pull in something north of $50,000 per year.
If it's the kind of site that's popular enough your
friends would have heard of it, look for substantially
more. And if it's in an area where the cost of living
is high, such as the northeastern U.S., or the Bay Area
of California, or London, look for still more.
And then, on top of the pay, look to get quoted in
famous newspapers. It doesn't suck.
You can pick up this kind of work. It's easier than
you might think.
