Thought for the Writer's Day: Why Should
You Self Publish?
Xlibris sent me a discount coupon the other day, with
a letter that suggests "Five good reasons to self-publish."
First, traditional publishers take too long.
Second, you can test the market.
Third, your book might be aimed at a limited market.
The example they give is the "intricacies of microscopic
vascular plants."
Fourth, you can leave a legacy.
And fifth, you have greater control of how your book
will come out.
Interesting comments but I don't think they capture
the truth. You go for self publishing when you have
more faith in your book than any traditional publisher.
 | How Much Do You Read? How many books have you read so far this year? It pays to keep a list, especially if you're a slow reader like me.
