Writing

Thought for the Writer's Day: How
Do I Create an RSS Feed for my Podcasts?
Yesterday, I promised to write about the RSS
feed that I set up for one of my books, American
Invisible, Inc. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.
It allows you to distribute your work to almost anyone
who wants to subscribe, and to add your podcasts to
the Apple iTunes Store.
Some blog hosts and web hosts offer you an automated
RSS feed, which makes life easy. If you don't have one,
here's some good news. Most people who know how to create
a web page will be able to create an RSS feed. I put
mine together while I was watching a movie.
All you need is a text editor such as Notepad or Word.
My RSS feed is just one file, which I created manually
and placed onto the server that fed you this page.
Let me reiterate; an RSS feed can be as simple as one
file, created in Notepad.
What goes into that file? I'll answer that question
tomorrow.
