Writing

Moby-Dick by Herman Melville Thought for the Writer's Day: How Do You Cope With Deadlines?

I have a deadline to meet today, so there won't be a very long post here. Part of the fun of writing is that there are slow days when you can sit on the deck and read, and there are hectic days when you don't even have time to eat. It goes with the turf.

If you're seriously looking at a writing job of any kind, whether it's fiction, reporting, tech writing, copy, or graffiti, make sure you're comfortable with the constant change of pace. The only way to cope with deadlines is to roll with them.
