Writing

Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stephenson Thought for the Writer's Day: How Do I Find a Writing Job?

It's Sunday, hardly a busy day for hiring, but a Monster.com search for "writer" shows that 79 jobs have been posted so far today in the U.S. If you're serious about writing for a living, you ought to take a look.

Meanwhile, I'm still testing Craigslist.org. I think it's going to turn into a very promising place to look for work. There are ads from hirers, and you can post a brief resume, and you can offer writing and editing services. And it's free, it's local, and your identity is protected.

This is a very, very good deal.

Quote for the Writer's Day:

"TV... really is about the last thing an aspiring writer needs." From On Writing by Stephen King.
